WDRB has engaged Frost Brown Todd as legal counsel. The firm will advise WDRB on a range of matters, including Labor and Employment, Media/First Amendment, Internet, Privacy and Information Security.
“Our business has grown from running one small television station not too many years ago, to operating three Louisville stations today,” said WDRB President and General Manager Bill Lamb. “The complexity of running WDRB alone has grown exponentially as we are now providing 59 hours a week of local news – that’s at least 31% more news than any other station in Louisville. I find comfort in knowing that we have Kentucky’s premiere law firm looking out for our interests. Frost Brown Todd has the depth, breadth, and experience we need to help us safely navigate the minefield that television news gathering can sometimes be.”
“We are proud of our media practice and honored to represent the interests of WDRB, a dynamic media outlet and news leader in Louisville,” said FBT Chairman John Crockett.
The team of FBT attorneys designated to work with WDRB includes Members D. Patton Pelfrey, Monica Dias, Kathleen Biggs Wright, Griffin Terry Sumner and Joshua O’Bryan. Louisville members Pat Pelfrey and Katie Wright will advise WDRB in the area of labor and employment law. Dias, who has extensive experience defending media clients and enforcing their right of access to courtrooms, public records and public meetings, will provide counsel on various Media/First Amendment matters. Dias, who is based in the firm’s Cincinnati office, is a lifelong Kentucky resident. Louisville Members Joshua O’Bryan and Griffin Terry Sumner will take the lead on Corporate and Commercial matters.
