Jay has over 25 years of experience in insurance compliance and regulatory matters. He joined the firm in 1996 concentrating on insurance and related business regulation. Since that time, he has licensed and maintains insurance agency/producer and related regulatory licenses and filing requirements for Fortune 500 and other companies, as well as serves in the capacity of Insurance Compliance Officer of licensed representative agencies.  Jay has assisted insurance companies with UCAA Primary and Expansion Applications for regulatory approval of Certificate of Authority, as well as specialty license certification for service warranty companies.
Jay has extensive experience in all aspects of insurance producer and agency licensing, including obtaining initial and renewal licenses and certifications for P&C, L&H, E&S, specialty and limited lines, as well as TPA, UR, MGA, MGU, PBM, pharmacy and pharmacy technician. He has assisted agencies and companies with responding to corporate and individual reporting requirements and conducting agency filings with state and federal regulatory agencies including Cybersecurity, Holding Company and other Corporate Governance filings. He also has expansive experience in company filings including services in accident & health, property & casualty, worker’s comp, managed care, and life and annuities through NAIC regulatory platforms including SERFF, Opt-Ins, NIPR and state specific databases. He provides paralegal services in connection with the company’s regulatory compliance requirements and other specialized corporate governance matters including research and analysis of state and federal laws to monitor and implement company changes to regulatory requirements.
He has assisted counsel with regulatory administrative proceedings and related regulatory investigations, as well as insurer insolvency matters, including claim process and recovery. He has also assisted with incorporations, qualifications, dissolutions, mergers, redomestications and withdrawals of subsidiary companies in various states. In addition, he has assisted with maintenance of global corporate databases, corporate minute books, drafting resolutions, consents, and other corporate documents.
