Ed’s practice focuses primarily on employee benefits, executive compensation, and taxation matters. On the employee benefits and executive compensation side, Ed assists clients in the design, implementation, and administration of retirement plans as well as health, life, and disability insurance plans. Ed strives to simplify the complex rules of the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA into practical advice. On the tax side, Ed counsels businesses, nonprofits, and governmental entities on a wide range of federal, state, and local tax issues, from drafting legislation to tax planning to controversy. Pulling from his prior business experience and background in accounting, Ed counsels clients on the practical effects of certain tax planning strategies.
