With over 45 attorneys, FBT Columbus is a multidisciplinary team within a full-service firm. Our depth in the areas of Government Services, Real Estate, Environmental and Labor & Employment speaks to the office’s commanding presence in state and local government and Central Ohio’s growth and manufacturing sectors. In addition, the Columbus team advises on public finance, government contracting and construction, intellectual property, insurance coverage as well as bad faith analysis, business litigation, and tort defense.
We have done work for a wide range of clients in Central Ohio, including Fortune 500 companies, the largest municipal governments in the area, banks, and insurers. We have also represented some of the largest real estate developers and construction-industry players in the region. Additionally, we are routinely asked to be special counsel for various state agencies and entities.
Over the last 15 years, FBT Columbus has grown from fewer than 10 to 45-plus attorneys – a testament to the office’s leadership and entrepreneurial roots. The Columbus office has established strong roots in the region by marketing aggressively, adding attorneys strategically, and building relationships with new clients.  Indeed, when the emphasis is on growth rate and quality of work, the Columbus office is truly outstanding.
Equally important, FBT Columbus is committed to diversity, a commitment it shares with the Columbus community. Over 40% of the office is diverse in terms of gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation. Â In addition to housing a diverse set of attorneys and staff, the office works closely with local high schools, the two law schools in town, the bar associations and other community groups to promote diversity and inclusion.
Frost Brown Todd’s Columbus office opened in August 1988 and recently celebrated its 30th anniversary with a reception hosting well over 100 colleagues and clients.
The attorneys in the Columbus office actively participate on boards of community and charitable organizations that help with a range of causes, including poverty, gender equality, and community support. Our attorneys and staff volunteer time for organizations such as the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, United Way of Central Ohio, American Red Cross of Greater Columbus, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio, the Buckeye Ranch, and the Legal Aid Society of Columbus. The office also has a Charity Committee made up of attorneys and business professionals, responsible for organizing internal charity drives supporting local schools and families.
