Frost Brown Todd is pleased to announce the addition of Senior Associate Hamid H. Sheikh, Jr. to its Lexington office. Sheikh joins the firm’s Finance and Real Estate Practice Group, where he focuses on commercial real estate and lending transactions in the multifamily, retail and health care industries both inside Kentucky and throughout the United States. Sheikh is also now a member of the firm’s well-regarded Multifamily Housing Industry Team.
In addition to his transactional practice, Sheikh regularly represents the firm’s clients in real estate and lending litigation and pre-litigation conflict resolution, including actions to quiet title, foreclosures, lease disputes, breach of contract cases, and pre-litigation loan workouts.
As a lifelong Lexingtonian, Sheikh earned his Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, in Accounting and Finance from the University of Kentucky Gatton College in 2010, followed by his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2013. Sheikh is now actively involved with several community organizations, including serving on the steering committee for the Bluegrass Community Foundation – BGCF 365 and volunteering with Rotaract of Lexington. Sheikh was recently included on the Kentucky Rising Stars® listing by Super Lawyers, a rating based on independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.
