Described as “the best lawyer in town” by clients for her work in trademark law, Samantha M. Quimby has been included in the World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000 for the fourth consecutive year. The WTR 1000 uses exhaustive qualitative research to identify the most outstanding firms and individuals in 70 jurisdictions globally, available to serve brand owners as they seek to protect their brands. With the 2018 edition recently released, the publication is now in its eighth year and established as the go-to resource for clients seeking world-class legal trademark practitioners.
“I am proud and honored to be included in the WTR 1000 again this year. To know that clients and peers continue to take time out of their own busy schedules to provide such positive feedback on my capabilities as a trademark attorney is both professionally rewarding and personally humbling,” Quimby said. “But this recognition must be shared with the rest of the FBT trademark team – everyone from our legal assistants and docketing staff, to our paralegals, associates, and members. Our success as a trademark practice is a team effort and a result of everyone’s hard work and dedication.”
Quimby heads the Trademark team at Frost Brown Todd (FBT). The group is part of the Intellectual Property Law and Litigation Practice Group, which has more than 50 professionals throughout the firm’s eight-state footprint. Quimby is one of only seven attorneys in the State of Ohio to be recognized in the WTR 1000 “gold band” that includes the practitioners who attract the most positive client feedback, reflecting the highest level of knowledge, market presence and level of work established over lengthy periods of time.
Quimby is an across-the-board trademark lawyer, with her practice encompassing trademark clearance, prosecution, counseling, licensing, enforcement and litigation. She also assists clients with anti-counterfeiting measures in the U.S. and abroad, and has worked on cases involving ongoing enforcement efforts for world-famous brands. Among others, she is the long-serving trademark counsel for Minor League Baseball.
