With the new year underway, Frost Brown Todd (FBT) is pleased to announce the appointment of six new members to serve across the firm’s footprint. The following members have been named: Eric Landen and Nicole Tepe (Cincinnati, OH), Samantha Quimby (Columbus, OH), Michael Nitardy (Florence, KY), Michele Lorbieski Anderson (Indianapolis, IN) and Holly Brown Powell (Lexington, KY).
Eric Landen is a new member in the finance and real estate department. He advises clients regarding the acquisition, development, leasing and financing of real estate and other related matters. Landen has represented local governments and retail developers and has significant in-store licensing experience. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is active in the Cincinnati community, serving as the current board president for Special Olympics Hamilton County, a board member of the Cincinnati Preservation Association, member of the Downtown Council Steering Committee, and as a longtime Cincinnati Youth Collaborative mentor. He graduated with a law degree from Case Western Reserve University.
Nicole Tepe practices in the area of intellectual property and focuses on patent prosecution and opinion work, with a concentration in the field of biotechnology. She represents a variety of clients, from corporations and pharmaceutical companies to university researchers. Prior to joining FBT in 2010, she worked as a consultant to the University of Cincinnati Intellectual Property Office and counsel to the Procter and Gamble Company. Tepe has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Thomas More College, and a Ph.D. in pharmacology and cell biophysics from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She received her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
Samantha Quimby practices in the area of intellectual property law and litigation. She represents domestic and global clients in a wide array of IP matters relating to trademark, copyright, internet and unfair competition, with particular focus on trademark prosecution, counseling, licensing, enforcement and litigation. Quimby also assists clients with anti-counterfeiting measures and has worked on cases involving ongoing enforcement efforts for world-famous brands. Quimby graduated from Kenyon College with a bachelor’s degree and from Capital University Law School with a J.D. and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business and Taxation. She has been recognized as one of the top intellectual property attorneys in Columbus and is included in the 2014 and 2015 editions of Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Stars®.
Michael Nitardy joins as a new member in FBT’s Florence office. He practices in the litigation department, representing clients in business, commercial and insurance disputes. Nitardy also represents physicians, medical practices and nursing homes in medical malpractice actions, and assists clients in addressing various state and federal regulations on health law matters. Before entering the practice of law, he worked on the business side of the health care industry. Nitardy graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Marshall University and with J.D. from the Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law.
Michele Lorbieski Anderson practices in the litigation department, focusing on business litigation and white-collar criminal defense. She joined FBT as an associate in August 2009 after having practiced law in California. Anderson is involved in numerous civic organizations and serves as a board member of Cheer Guild of Riley Hospital for Children and Indiana University Hospital. She has also been a mentor for the Starfish Initiative since 2009 and for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity since 2013. She received her B.A. from DePauw University and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. She has been selected for inclusion in each annual edition of the Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Stars® since 2012.
Holly Brown Powell practices in the area of corporate law, assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions, IT agreements, software and services licensing, contract formation and negotiation, debt and equity financings, and general business issues. She has worked on formation and restructuring projects for businesses ranging in size from small entrepreneurs to large international public companies. Powell joined FBT as an associate in September 2007, after receiving her degree from the University of Kentucky (UK) School of Law. She also has an MBA and a bachelor of science in accounting from UK.
