Biography

Eric protects, enforces and defends intellectual property rights for publicly traded and privately held companies in a variety of industries throughout the world. He develops individualized strategies to fit client goals, branding objectives and budget while taking into account the competition and jurisdictional considerations. His business and IT background give him a noteworthy perspective, allowing him to understand his clients’ business needs and develop solutions to reach their goals.

Eric manages all aspects of global trademark portfolios, including clearance, prosecution, dispute resolution, cease and desist, litigation, opposition and cancellation actions. He serves U.S. clients with a global reach by counseling and guiding protection efforts outside the U.S., and he serves as U.S. counsel for companies and law firms located outside the U.S.

Eric also advises clients regarding copyright, social media, trade dress, customs, anti-counterfeiting, licensing, domain names and e-commerce. He has litigated intellectual property cases as well as general civil matters.
