Firm recognized by World Trademark Review for seven consecutive years

The World Trademark Review 1000 (WTR 1000) named four Frost Brown Todd (FBT) attorneys to its 2021 list highlighting attorneys from around the world with deep expertise in trademark law. Indianapolis Member Eric Lamb, Indianapolis Managing Associate Matthew Clark, Cincinnati Member Matthew Delaney, and Columbus Member Samantha (Sam) Quimby qualified for the list based on recommendations from market sources familiar with their work as well as lengthy interviews with attorneys and clients involved with trademarks. The 2021 edition of the WTR 1000 provides the most comprehensive listing of the leading private practice practitioners and firms in more than 80 jurisdictions around the world.

Quimby, who leads FBT’s trademark practice, is in the WTR 1000 for the seventh consecutive year. Clients recognized Quimby for her leadership, deep knowledge of trademark issues, and ability to explain those issues in a way they can readily understand and that saves them time. Clients also praised her ability to forecast outcomes of trademark enforcement matters as well as her understanding of specific business needs.

Lamb, listed for the second year in a row, is described as improving the scope and sophistication of FBT’s trademark practice. Clients say he is the best trademark attorney they have ever worked with and makes their lives easier.

This is the first year Clark and Delaney are listed. Clark is known for his detailed trademark prosecution and enforcement work. Delaney is praised for his ability to understand the specific technology and branding issues for small to medium-sized businesses and emerging companies.

“While being ranked seven years running is a huge honor, continuing to add new attorneys to this prestigious list each year is something we are quite proud of,” said Quimby. “Expanding and deepening our bench strength across our footprint has been a priority for the firm over the last several years, a priority that is confirmed by having three of our markets represented in the WTR 1000.  But our trademark practice is a team effort, and we owe our success to the hard work and dedication of so many team members, from our legal assistants and docketing staff to our paralegals, associates, and members across multiple cities and markets.”
