Frost Brown Todd (FBT) Cincinnati Associate Steven T. McDevitt has been selected as the firm’s first candidate for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Pathfinder Program. Pathfinder is a national program that trains early-career and high-potential attorneys in critical career development strategies, including foundational leadership skills and the building of professional networks.

Pathfinders have been identified by their organizations as having the potential to assume leadership roles, not only internally, but overall in the legal profession. Now in its third year, the program provides practical tools and offers participants intensive in-person training, online experiential learning and opportunities to network with peers and esteemed LCLD Fellows.

“Frost Brown Todd has a deep commitment to increasing diversity in the legal industry. It’s one of the reasons I chose to start my career here,” says McDevitt. “The legal profession is facing significant underrepresentation issues, from law schools up to the partner ranks and C-suite. LCLD is creating a community for diverse attorneys and, most importantly, a leadership pipeline. I’m excited to participate on behalf of FBT.”

McDevitt earned his law degree at Georgetown University Law Center in 2014 and joined FBT’s Cincinnati office the same year. As an associate in the Business Combinations and Capital Transactions Practice Group, he represents clients in matters relating to corporate formation, raising capital, commercial transactions, as well as mergers and acquisitions. He also has experience in labor and employment law and assists with executive employment agreements, navigating state workers’ compensation, and unemployment compensation laws. Before law school, McDevitt worked as a legislative analyst at the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. He has also interned on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., and worked on a presidential campaign.
