Matt serves a variety of small, medium and large clients, working as a strategic advisor to create and implement intellectual property strategy to make the most out of their technology and the things that make their businesses unique. He negotiates and drafts licenses of patent rights, trade secrets, software know-how and other technology rights to enable clients to monetize and leverage their innovations and creativity, as well as those of others. Considering offensive and defensive issues in patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret law, he serves clients in the electrical, electromechanical, Internet, semiconductor, software, cryptography and electromagnetic technology areas, and also in the computer security, furniture and automotive industries.
Matt routinely handles a wide range of intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark applications and technology licenses, and manages and coordinates clients’ international intellectual property portfolios. He is admitted to practice as a patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
