Biography

Jennifer’s career started with part-time work in 1988 in a local residential title agency where she was tasked with attending loan closings for various lender clients.  After graduating she began work as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal for a large downtown Cincinnati law firm.  While there, she worked on many complex commercial real estate transactions concentrating mostly on the preparation of title insurance policies and review of surveys therefore.

Upon joining Frost Brown Todd in 1995, Jennifer continued her work concentrating mostly on preparing title insurance policies and coordinating closings for commercial transactions within the firm’s title company, Multi-State Title Agency.  She has worked with all of the main national underwriters for which Multi-State is currently an agent.  She has handled multi-site, multi-state and multi-million dollar transactions which include Retail shopping center acquisitions/financings, Retail/Industrial/Commercial Construction projects, Multi-state/Multi-site coordination of closing/title insurance issuance for national companies, and purchase and synthetic lease financing/structuring for a national business with properties in various states.

Jennifer routinely works on transactions in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky but also has experience and contacts in many other states through the use of the national title insurance underwriters with which she has worked for the past 20 years.  She has recently begun working directly with the attorney’s in the firm to handle other transactional matters required for various clients other than title insurance needs, including drafting closing documents, and obtaining/reviewing purchase/sale due diligence requirements.

In 2011, she assisted several attorneys within the firm for a 2 year period in review of mineral titles for more than 200 parcels located in Pennsylvania for the purchase of the assets of a coal company by a firm client. These complex titles were run back to patent and covered fee simple severances and leasehold interests in coal.
