Audits and OFCCP/EEO Compliance for Government Contractors

August 12, 2020 12:00 pm CST Webinar 3 of 5

This webinar is part of the 2020 Government Contracts Webinar Series.

The challenges faced by government contractors of all sizes require a keen understanding of the human resources requirements unique to federal contracting. These range from code of conduct, Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative action plan requirements to required job postings and the specific wage and hour laws that apply to government contracts (including the FLSA, David-Bacon Act, and Service Contract Act).

We invite you to join Fred Gaona, Jennifer Rulon, Russ A. Fatum (Volvo), and Holly Clarke on August 12, 2020, for a webinar focused on these issues. During the webinar, we will provide advice and strategies to assist you in complying with the relevant requirements. Specifically, we will cover:

  • Developing policies and processes around employment regulations
  • Creating record keeping files for the programs
  • Posting requirements for EEOC and other regulations
  • Implementing best practices for interviews and documentation
  • Adhering to code of conduct requirements

Frost Brown Todd 2020 Government Contracts Webinar Series

Breaking Through: How Small Businesses Can Accelerate Growth Through Federal Grants and Programs

The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs are highly competitive, with grant recipients earning up to $150,000 in initial seed funding and up to $1 million in subsequent stages. Though the SBIR and STTR programs differ in key respects, both offer equity-free funding to encourage small businesses to ramp up their research and development (R&D) with the potential for commercialization.

Frost Brown Todd is invested in helping small businesses learn about the federal regulations and requirements that govern participation in the SBIR/STTR programs, as well as how small businesses can position themselves for successful commercialization. Starting July 22, 2020, we are hosting a series of weekly webinars focused on the opportunities and critical issues impacting small businesses, particularly in the government contracting space.

Our attorneys will discuss avenues for funding innovative projects, the regulatory overlay for government contractors, and strategies for protecting and commercializing your intellectual property assets.

During this five-part webinar series, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn how to prepare for the CMMC and other regulations governing cyber and data security.
  • Hear from leading advisors in the private equity and mergers and acquisitions marketplace about practical and proven commercialization strategies.
  • Learn about government contract opportunities for small businesses, including steps to secure significant R&D funding through the SBIR/STTR programs.
  • Explore how to prevent and prepare for government enforcement actions.
  • Find out about best practices in human resources and OFCCP compliance.
  • Understand important intellectual property concepts and what your intellectual property rights are when contracting with the government.
