On November 25, the Indiana Court of Appeals addressed the issue of whether an injured employee working on board a semi-permanently moored riverboat casino can avoid state workers’ compensation laws and recover in tort against the employer under the Jones Act, 46 USC Appx § 688. Frost Brown Todd’s Indiana office represented Harrah’s, Inc, in the appeal of RDI/Caesars Riverboat Casino, Inc. v. Tina Conder.
