Public School: Asbestos Release and Abatement

Representation in case involving a significant asbestos fiber release during a large-scale construction renovation of an inner city school that was partially occupied. Chris Habel led extensive efforts to sample and confirm no exposure to the student body and staff, acceptable exposure to construction workers, coordinated public relations, coordinated construction delay and workload shift issues due to a significant portion of the site being off limits to building trades for about 5 months while it was completely cleaned from floor to ceiling by an asbestos abatement contractor. We are also managing the environmental insurance claim for the client with the insurer.
