Biography

Darnell practices in the area of finance and real estate representing developers and lenders in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, leasing and governmental compliance matters. In addition to his corporate and commercial real estate practice, Darnell has significant experience with low-income housing tax credits. Darnell spent four years with the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office, where he was a member of the primary housing attorney group. During this time he was involved with drafting, reviewing and implementing federal and state housing program documents, policies and procedures for the Metro Office of Housing and Community Development, which serves low income individuals and families. Further, he collaborated with government personnel and low income housing developers regarding income housing projects under Title 24 CFR and other applicable laws and regulations.
