Terrence chairs the firm’s venture capital team. Terrence represents startups and emerging growth companies at all stages of development, and the investors that fund them. His practice includes corporate and securities law matters, entity formation, corporate governance, software licensing, venture capital financings, strategic alliances, and exit transactions. Terrence advises clients across a broad range of industries, including software, digital health, SaaS, consumer products, energy, cyber-security, mobility, and other emerging technologies.
In addition to his career in the private sector, Terrence previously served as an AUSA in the Eastern District of Michigan, where he led a district-wide Financial Crimes Task Force to record performance. While at the DOJ, his multi-agency team enforced regulations covering money service businesses, including the Patriot Act and Bank Secrecy Act. Terrence started his career at Miller Canfield in the firm’s Corporate Group where his practice included mergers and acquisitions, private equity, start-ups, and technology ventures.
Terrence is a frequent speaker on leadership, venture capital, and entrepreneurship in the region.
