Shelby is a senior paralegal in Frost Brown Todd’s bankruptcy and restructuring practice group, with experience in all aspects of commercial bankruptcy including creditors’ rights, workouts and insolvency. Shelby has assisted in the representation of financial services institutions, asset-based lenders, and local, regional, and national banks with regard to creditors’ rights, workouts and insolvency. Shelby has also assisted in the representation of business debtors including manufacturers and retailers in workouts and insolvency proceedings as well as representation of Trustees and Official Committees of Unsecured Creditors. In addition, Shelby has experience in the facilitation of Section 363 Sales, out of court restructuring agreements, forbearance agreements, and corporate restructurings and purchasing of assets from troubled businesses.
With over 20 years of experience in the law firm industry, Shelby was employed as a corporate transactional and litigation paralegal and has experience in the preparation of documents relating to entity formation, entity dissolution, foreign qualification, annual reports and public offerings and has experience in all aspects of commercial loan transactions including, but not limited to, preparation of commercial loan agreements, security and authorization documents, commercial leases and deeds as well as assisting with preparation of UCC financing statements, and research liens in connection with corporate financing. Shelby has litigation experience involving the management of complex case files, preparation of pleadings including discovery requests and responses, coordination of large document reviews and productions, compiling, analyzing, and summarizing data, performing factual and legal research and investigation, and trial preparation.
