Biography

Randy devotes his practice to the defense of vehicle/equipment manufacturers and distributors headquartered in the United States and internationally. He has acted as lead trial counsel in state and federal courts in 16 different states, served as product liability national coordinating counsel for two international manufacturers and served as Defense Liaison for all defendants in the Ford-Firestone MDL litigation that was based in Indianapolis.

Randy has received numerous awards and honors recognizing him as a leading product liability attorney by the International Who’s Who of Product Liability Defense Lawyers, the Outstanding Lawyers of America, the Guide to the World’s Leading Product Liability Lawyers, the Best Lawyers in America®, and the Indiana Super Lawyers®. He holds an AV® Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell®.

Randy is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana. In 2002, he was named “Indiana Defense Lawyer of the Year.” He is a former Chair of DRI’s Product Liability Committee and a former member of DRI’s Board of Directors. He is a 1977 graduate of the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University-Bloomington, and he currently is an emeritus member of the Board of Visitors.
