Haifeng focuses his practice on U.S. corporate and commercial laws, advising clients with a variety of corporate and business matters such as business growth, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, leveraged buy-out, sales and product distributorship, joint ventures, intellectual property, and cross-border investment and transactions. He has served clients from a variety of industries, such as health care, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, energy, chemical, real estate and technologies.
With respect to his cross-border investment and transactions practice, Haifeng has significant experience in assisting international clients with various projects in the U.S. involving strategic business planning and negotiation, economic incentives, corporate governance, stock and asset purchases, sales and product distributorship, real estate acquisition, development and leasing, intellectual property licensing and assignment, and other commercial transactions. Additionally, he has coordinated with other attorneys as a team advising on issues related to business litigation, employment, international trade, immigration, government investigation and regulatory compliance. His international clients include multinational corporations, large publicly traded companies, medium and small-sized companies (including start-ups) and individuals doing business in the U.S. He also assists U.S. businesses with their projects in foreign countries, including subsidiaries overseas, business alliances, outsourcing, product distributorship, franchise, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance issues.
Haifeng is the co-chair of the firm’s China Desk. He and his team have provided long-standing legal and regulatory support to businesses active in the U.S. and the Greater China markets.
Haifeng is a member of the D.C., New York, Maryland, Kentucky and Texas bars.
