Biography

Blake represents clients on matters involving closely-held business entities, including formations, acquisitions, and restructuring ownership and control. He routinely organizes limited liability companies, corporations and partnerships for a variety of business purposes, including preparation of buy-sell, employment, and non-competition agreements.

Blake’s practice also includes extensive work in real estate and estate planning. On the real estate side, Blake represents clients in purchasing, financing, developing, leasing and selling commercial and residential properties. On the estate planning side, Blake counsels families and individuals on matters relating to wealth preservation and transfer. Within this framework, Blake advises on federal transfer and income taxes, and prepares wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.

Blake earned his law degree from Notre Dame Law School and his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, where he also played Division I football.
