Alex assists clients with the preparation and prosecution of U.S., international, and foreign patent applications, including both utility and design patent applications. Additionally, he conducts patentability, freedom-to-operate, and patent infringement investigations. Alex has experience in a variety of technology areas including medical devices, automobiles, fluid dispensers, wind turbines, aircraft systems, locking devices, flooring applications, and material transfer systems. During engineering school, Alex was a co-op with The Procter & Gamble Company in their Computer Modeling & Simulation, Plant Engineering, and Intellectual Property R&D Departments. During law school, he was an intern with GE Aviation’s Intellectual Property Legal Department. During the fall of 2013, Alex was a legal extern for Judge Michael R. Barrett of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Prior to joining Frost Brown Todd, he was a patent attorney at an IP boutique law firm in Cincinnati.
