Mike EckerleFrost Brown Todd (FBT) is pleased to announce that Michael L. Eckerle has joined the firm as a member in the Indianapolis office. Eckerle has been a general business counsel for the past 40 years, focused on serving clients in the areas of corporate law, business transactions, manufacturing, securities and banking law. He has also had significant impact on the community through his extensive involvement in numerous civic and charitable organizations in the city and beyond.

Eckerle joins FBT’s Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group and will continue to structure, negotiate and document the purchase and sale of companies in a wide range of industries. He will advise on a broad spectrum of contract matters and agreements, and assist in restructuring projects and business succession planning. For more than 20 years, he served as the chair of a former firm’s business services group, and later headed its manufacturing legal team.

Eckerle has served in leadership positions for an array of civic and professional organizations, among them the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association. He has been president and director of both the Eagle Creek Park Foundation and the Christamore House, and has also served as director for the Indiana Deaf Camps Foundation.

A native of Jasper, Indiana, Eckerle has been recognized as a Jasper High School Alumnus of Distinction. He is also a recipient of the Indianapolis Bar Association Board of Managers Award, the Indianapolis Association of Wabash Men “Man of the Year” Award, and has been recognized in multiple editions of Indiana Super Lawyers®. He earned his undergraduate degree at Wabash College, magna cum laude, and his law degree with distinction at Duke University School of Law.
