Kristen Webb Hill, who oversaw Governor Bevin’s transition, has joined Frost Brown Todd’s Louisville office. Hill now serves in the firm’s Government Services Practice Group, where she represents public entities, tax-exempt entities, businesses and individuals in a range of legal matters.
Hill has extensive experience serving in the public sector in Kentucky. She served in Governor Ernie Fletcher’s Finance and Administration Cabinet. As Deputy Secretary and Chief of Staff, she oversaw the Office of Financial Management, State Controller, Commonwealth Office of Technology, Department for Facilities and Support Services and Department of Revenue. She has extensive experience drafting and interpreting bills, regulations, ordinances and budgets. In particular, she dealt with statutes and regulations affecting procurement, tax, contracts, capital construction, accounting, technology, state investments and professional licensing.
Hill earned her J.D. at Case Western Reserve University School of Law and spent several years in Washington D.C., interning for Senator Mitch McConnell and the National Republican Senatorial Committee. She was a participant in the Kentucky Republican Women’s Roundtable, 2006-2007, and a member of the Leadership Kentucky Class of 2010. Most recently, Hill was the owner of a private practice, focusing primarily on general business, tax exempt entities, campaign finance, election and contractual law matters.
