Frost Brown Todd (FBT) member Noel Shepard has been named member-in-charge of the Columbus office. Shepard succeeds Tom Williams, who has led the office for more than ten years.
“We are tremendously grateful for Tom’s contributions to the firm and to Noel for assuming the responsibility of running our Columbus office,” says John Crockett, FBT Chairman. “We are pleased with our growth here in Ohio’s capital both in number of attorneys and practice areas. And, our recent office expansion is a testament to that growth. Tom’s leadership has been an essential element of our success in Columbus and we are grateful that he will continue to be a resource for the firm and to Noel in the transition of leadership,” he says.
Noel Shepard joined the firm in 2002 and practices in the area of labor and employment law. She represents a wide variety of companies in employment-related defense litigation and consulting services. She is active in the community through the Law and Leadership Institute, mentoring Mifflin Middle School students as part of a program initiated by FBT, and has sponsored the “Leaders of Tomorrow” fundraiser for the Girl Scout of the USA. She’s also been on the board of trustees for the Actors’ Theatre, including serving as vice president, and develops continuing legal education (CLE) programs for the Ohio State Bar Association’s (OSBA) Workers’ Compensation Committee. She received her J.D. from Capital University Law School in 1996.
Tom Williams will continue to represent FBT’s corporate clients in all aspects of labor and employment law, including collective bargaining, arbitration and litigation. He has been recognized in the past 10 annual editions of The Best Lawyers in America® and has been selected for inclusion in the 2090-2015 editions of Ohio Super Lawyers®.
