The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI) ratings are out, and it lists Frost Brown Todd (FBT) as a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.” The firm received a perfect 100 percent rating for the fifth consecutive year and is one of over 560 major U.S. businesses to earn top marks in 2019. The CEI is a national benchmarking survey and report that reviews corporate policies and practices related to workplace equality. The HRC evaluates all types of entities from the largest law firms and publicly traded businesses to smaller and privately held companies. FBT met the three key pillars of the CEI’s rating criteria, including non-discrimination policies across business entities; equitable benefits for LGBTQ workers and their families; and supporting an inclusive culture and corporate social responsibility.

“We are grateful for the guidance HRC provides to help us with our efforts to create a welcoming, diverse, and inclusive FBT culture,” said FBT Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee Kimera Hall. “We aim to meet the needs of all of our employees and their satisfaction is our true motivator and measure of success”.

HRC considers FBT an advocate for equality within FBT and also with respect to its clients and the community around it.  HRC notes that what sets companies like FBT apart is not only speaking about inclusion and non-discrimination policies, but also applying them to their work daily.

“Having a respected group like HRC review and rate our diversity and inclusion efforts provides reassurance and outside validation that we are listening to the needs of our clients and employees by providing a diverse and inclusive workplace,” said FBT CEO Adam Hall.
