Will serve as Chairman of the Corporate Compliance subcommittee
Frost Brown Todd (FBT) Indianapolis Member Edwin Broecker was appointed to be the Chairman of the Corporate Compliance subcommittee of the American Bar Association (ABA) Business Law Section. His three-year term runs through September 2023. The 1,000-member committee assists “in-house counsel and compliance professionals in developing, implementing, reviewing and evolving effective organizational compliance programs.”
Broecker previously served as the chair of the Internal Investigations subcommittee. In addition, Broecker continued his work on the Working Group to Draft Model Contract Clauses to Implement the ABA Model Principles regarding Human Trafficking in the Supply Chain. The Working Group released version 1.0 of the clauses in the Fall of 2018. It is currently working on updating the clauses based on practical experience.
A Member based in FBT’s Indianapolis office, Broecker counsels businesses in transitional situations. He has a depth of experience in corporate governance matters for public and private companies. His corporate compliance experience includes program development and improvement, training, counseling, assessments and investigations, targeted at international trade, anti-corruption and conflicts of interest. Broecker is a certified compliance & ethics professional (CCEP) from the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics.
