Representation of a regional heath care system in an EPA enforcement action involving alleged violations of Ohio’s hazardous waste laws and regulations at several hospitals within the client’s system in southwest Ohio. Negotiation of successful resolution of enforcement action by way of Director’s Final Findings & Orders (DFFOs) between five of the client’s hospitals and the Ohio EPA. Resolution involved payment of a minimal civil penalty and development of a hazardous waste management plan, with no other ongoing injunctive requirements.
