Defense verdict in interstate collision trial

2009 – We defended a trucking company in a personal injury lawsuit in federal court in Owensboro, Kentucky involving a collision between a car and a tractor-trailer on a rain-slicked interstate. We succeeded in having negligent entrustment and punitive damages claims bifurcated and subsequently dismissed after the jury returned a verdict finding that the truck driver was not at fault for the accident.
