Frost Brown Todd announces the addition of Senior Associate Darnell McCoy to the firm’s Finance and Real Estate Practice Group and Louisville office. McCoy represents developers and lenders in commercial real estate transactions, leasing and government compliance matters. He spent four years in the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office, where he handled federal and state housing program documents, policies and procedures for the Metro Office of Housing and Community Development. McCoy has extensive experience with low-income housing tax credits from his collaboration with government representatives and low-income housing developers regarding income housing projects under Title 24 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and other laws and regulations. He also served as a low-income tax volunteer while a student in law school.
McCoy earned his J.D. in 2010 from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he was the recipient of the Ashland Scholars Award and the Award for Excellence in Administrative Law. He earned a B.S. in accounting from the University of Louisville.
