Roofing Systems Inc. has been sued by in a cost recovery action under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act ("CERCLA" or "Superfund") for allegedly contributing hazardous substances to a landfill that required environmental investigation and remediation. The plaintiff in the action had previously entered into a settlement with the United States Environmental Protection Agency to conduct the environmental investigation and remediation.
