Biography

Bill helps acquire and defend intellectual property assets. He prepares and prosecutes patent application for a wide variety of domestic and international clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. While practicing generally in the mechanical arts and developing skills related to medical device patents, Bill draws on his prior experience as a Chief Engineer. He is well versed in internal combustion engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, steam systems, refrigeration systems, and electrical systems. Bill also has engineering and technical experience in technologies including medical devices and industrial vehicles. 

In addition, Bill has experience in a broad range of admiralty and maritime matters. Bill is a licensed Chief Engineer and Riverboat Captain with 25 years of experience in the maritime industry which gives him a full understanding of his maritime client’s needs. Prior to joining Frost Brown Todd, Bill was a Port Engineer for a riverboat excursion company.
