Dick has over 20 years experience as a civil and criminal trial lawyer in the areas of health care law and white collar crime.
Throughout his career, Dick has devoted a large part of his practice to representation of health care providers and organizations undergoing audits and investigations by the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) with it Office of Inspector General (OIG), the U. S. Department of Justice, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and State Medicaid Fraud Control Units.
Dick was a former Assistant U.S. Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice in Los Angeles. He was also an Assistant Deputy Attorney General in Kentucky and the founding Director of Kentucky’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. While serving in that position, he was appointed as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for health care fraud matters and was selected as President of the National Association of Medicaid Fraud Control Units.
Dick has lectured widely on health care fraud matters at conferences of the American Bar Association and American Health Lawyers Association.
