Biography

April is an experienced lawyer with a demonstrated track record of achievement in commercial real estate, finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and outside general counsel services. She has a proven aptitude in working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of complex projects.  April is a passionate, analytical and technically oriented legal counselor who positively impacts clients to reach and exceed short-term and long-term goals.

She has substantial real estate transactional experience, having assisted clients in retail, office, affordable housing, residential and industrial matters. April’s clients include developers, public and private companies, landlords and tenants. She also has handled numerous “build to suit,” “sale-leaseback,” new market tax credit and DINO credit transactions.

As lender’s counsel, April helps financial institutions and other organizations structure, negotiate and close a broad range of commercial and real estate loan transactions, including secured and unsecured single lender and syndication loans and mezzanine loans. She utilizes her broad real estate background when representing lenders in construction and permanent real estate loans.
